Debbie Oakes Talks to Tanmaya George of the Modern Mystery School about the Kabbalistic Tree of Life and the art of manifestation.
“As a man who has devoted his whole life to the most clearheaded science, to the study of matter, I can tell you as a result of my research about the atoms this much: There is no matter as such! All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particles of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together… We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent Mind. This Mind is the matrix of all matter.”

What is the Law of Attraction?
Albert Einstein said: “Imagination is everything, it is the preview of life’s coming attractions”. And that, in conjunction with another pearl of wisdom: “Be careful what you wish for”, sums it up.
In a nutshell, what we spend our time thinking about, focusing upon and hoping for; sends out a magnetic message of attraction. The downside is, for all the conscious desires we have, (from the mundane to the magnificent) there are a whole lot more lurkers and stalkers ready to pounce from the crevices of thesubconscious mind! Forgotten memories, trapped trauma, whispering beliefs, fears and doubts.
It’s a strange thought but we are not alone inside our heads. Subconsciously we have often been seduced by other people’s versions and opinions of ‘our best lives’. These are poisonous apples often served with the best of intentions and even love. And, unless we wake up to, recognise – and over ride – those voices, they are allowed to be thenagging backseat drivers of our lives.
Tanmaya says: “There are so many influences around and within us at any one time. The voices of parents, the opinions of our teachers and perhaps even long-ago childhood tormentors. Through the course of a life we internalise so much. Without realising it we have absorbed judgements and fears that are not our own. All of this influences how we create and attract to ourselves.”
So, in order for conscious-creation to happen, we need to create a headspace that is free from interference.
“And you may ask yourself, “How do I work this?”
And you may ask yourself, “Where is that large automobile?”
And you may tell yourself, “This is not my beautiful house”
And you may tell yourself, “This is not my beautiful wife”

Breaking it down
It turns out the Law of Attraction is one law comprised of three laws of parts.
Like attracts like (aka ‘Birds of a feather flock together’)
This is also true for thoughts. So, the more positive your mindset, beliefs (and emotional charge around those) the more positive the outcome of our lives will be.
Make space for the good
So, if you ‘Marie Kondo’ your mind, your life and your spaces, if you become mindful of your thoughts, if you de-clutter those chaotic spaces, that leaves room for the good stuff to come flowing in.
All the power that ever was is right here right now
This moment is where the power is! Mindfulness is the key. Casting a positive spin on things rather than a gloomy one. Approaching life with an attitude of empowerment rather than victimhood means, no matter how bad it seems in the moment, the present contains possibility.
How Do We Get Some Law of Attraction Action?
Get clarity on your outcome.
It may be stating the obvious, but the first step to getting what you want is knowing exactly what that is. Surprisingly, this bit can also be the most difficult. It requires some thought, it requires some deep diving and then it requires action.
Make the subconscious, conscious.
That is the work we need to do to master our reality and to attract opportunities and create in alignment. The key to attracting your best life is to get conscious.
Having a positive mind set is not walking that fine line between a ‘Pollyanna complex’ and a dose of toxic positivity. It requires work. Firstly, we need to spend some time acquiring skills and tools of discernment to sort out all that internalised negativity. And secondly we need to strengthen our connection, get to know, listen to ourselves; our ‘higher selves’.
What Tools Can Help Me Consciously Create?
There are many paths up one mountain. But when it comes to handy guidance tools to the top, the pinnacle of positive attraction, we need a kind of Google Maps for the soul. Crazy as it sounds, there’s been just such a map around for many many centuries…
The Law of Attraction and the Ancient Wisdom of Kabbalah
The Kabbalah is just such a map. It offers ways to understand and overcome pesky unconscious limitations. The teachings are composed of methods to get clear on plans and goals in life that actually excite and inspire you. And – as a natural consequence – attract the right opportunities to do just that. Tanmaya says: “Through Kabbalah we can learn to redraw the blueprint of our lives. The spheres on the tree of life (similar to, but distinct from, the chakras) help to refine and reorganise your thoughts and emotions. It is an alchemical process of transformation. The structure of the tree acts as a support to help move through issues we normally would not have the strength to face. There is no place for the negative thoughts to hide anymore.”
“By Will Alone I Set My Mind in Motion“
Law of attraction is not new. It is innate knowledge. Wisdom we can reconnect to. Tanmaya says: “The Ancient Mystery Schools have held this knowledge for 1000s of years. Much of the power is in the lineage. Lineage means that these authentic ancient teachings are handed down from one highly trained person to another over many, many years. So nobody has to re-invent the wheel! Lineage also means that high initiates of the Mystery Schools have undergone very rigorous training to support themselves in clearing and transmuting their own trauma and negativity. That means they can then hold, and pass along, the highest light, the highest vibration. It is very difficult to do that alone. The structure of the tree with the guidance of a teacher makes us enter into the deepest recesses the psyche, or ego, where we would not normally choose to go.”
“Just as the material electron expands back to immaterial energy in the quantum field once scientists stop observing it, when you no longer observe your pain, your routine life, and your problems they will turn back into energy—into an infinite number of possibilities, into pure potential.”
Joe Dispenza, Becoming Supernatural
The aim of the work mapped out by The Tree is to create a higher vibration. That enables you to start living lifein alignment with all your potential. The work includes rituals, meditation, intention, affirmations and self reflection. The objective is to clear away the obstacles that drag your vibration down. (Like attracts like, after all!) Tanmaya says: “To me, success is living one’s true purpose. To be able to express the full capacity of one’s gifts. Matter is spirit, spirit is matter. I do not differentiate between one and the other. The question I ask myselfis more nuanced: How can we fully embody spirit in this material word?”
