When a person leaves university with a top degree, they might assume that it will be easy to walk into a top-paying, high responsibility job. For example, you might have to take an entry-level position if the company you want to work for does not offer a graduate program, or you might need to take a job elsewhere so you can build up the necessary skills for your ideal company.

Think seriously about your career goals

You may have chosen a degree based on the industry or sector that you decided was right for you, but that was a few years ago, and your skills and interests may have evolved since then.
